SoulCollage®
A reflective practice for the parts of you that shape how you lead
An image‑based method that helps leaders access inner wisdom and strengthen self‑trust.

Leadership requires clarity, not just about strategy and direction, but about the inner voices, patterns, and stories that influence how we show up.
It’s simple, accessible and profoundly revealing.
What it is
The practice
A reflective arts practice where you create small collaged cards using images that resonate with you. Each card represents a part of you. Grounded in expressive arts principles and Jungian psychology, it helps you access insight through imagery rather than analysis.
Why it helps leaders
- Increase self‑awareness and emotional insight
- Strengthen intuition and inner decision‑making
- Reduce stress and support emotional regulation
- Identify patterns, triggers, and strengths
- Deepen clarity during transitions or identity shifts
- Support meaning‑making and personal integration
Especially powerful for strengthening Self‑Trust, the first of the Three Dynamics, because it helps leaders see themselves clearly. It opens questions like: what part of me is leading right now? What part needs support?
Why it helps teams
From assumptions to understanding
In team sessions participants create individual cards and then share the meaning behind them. It moves teams from assumptions to understanding, and from surface‑level collaboration to deeper connection.
- Builds empathy and psychological safety
- Reveals strengths and values traditional development misses
- Helps people understand each other’s motivations and stress responses
- Reduces friction by making invisible dynamics visible
- Strengthens relational trust through honest conversation
How it fits into my work
Stand‑alone sessions
For individuals, small groups or community sessions, introducing the method, teaching the foundations, and giving participants space to experience it directly.
Integrated into a workshop
Woven into leadership intensives, team development, or longer workshops. It pairs naturally with trust‑centred work and emotional intelligence.
Why I include it in leadership work
Because leadership is shaped by the inner world, not just the outer one. SoulCollage® came to me through Sharla Hicks at a retreat in Big Bear, California. I completed the Facilitator training in summer 2021 and have used my own cards in work with my therapist.
